Business Meeting Minutes

New Business:

Term Limits and Recruitment of Hosts/ Co-Hosts

There was a motion made to Have an Accomplished host every night with a learning co-host. The motion was seconded and was opened for discussion.  It was noted that new co-hosts can be trained by Accomplished Hosts.  The training should not fall on John’s shoulders.  The goal will be to make available more service opportunities in our meeting as well as create a deeper bench of capable hosts.  

The Motion was voted on:  5 in favor, 1 opposed, and 2 abstained.  The Motion was passed.

It was agreed that recruitment of co-hosts will be saved until the new year.  This group will also need to agree on the criteria for co-hosts. 

GSR Report

Siobhan reported that the new redistricting will be effective Jan 1, 2023.  Approximately $30,000 in the current District 4 treasury will be evenly distributed among the 8 new Districts.  Guilford is District 20. A motion was made to approve the GSR report and was accepted unanimously

Secretary Report

Deb reports that the Minutes from the November Business meeting are posted on the website.  A motion was made to approve the November Minutes and was accepted unanimously.

Treasurer Report

Liz reports that the current balance as of November 30 is $520.18.  See attached for detailed treasurer’s report.  A motion was made to accept the Treasurer’s Report and was passed unanimously.

Host Chair Report

John reports things are working smoothly. John has developed new training videos that can be used to train new co-hosts. A motion made to approve the Host Chair report and was passed unanimously.

Coins & Books Chair Report

Terri reports that there were 5 coins sent out (for 1 yr and above anniversarians) in November. One Big Book was sent. A motion made to approve the Coins & Books report and was passed unanimously.
