Business Meeting Minutes

April 5, 2022

Attending the Meeting:  Herb, Terri, Liz, John D., Deb, Peg, Jerry C, Alice, Chelsea, James G

GSR Report:  Siobhan is our new GSR representative and is on vacation.  Herb obtained information about the last GSR meeting.  At that meeting, topics discussed included redistricting and printing meeting books. Redistricting District 4 may take a year or more. 

     One point of information given was that the district has approximately $27,000 in their treasury. Part of the redistricting conversation involved how the treasury will be divided between the new districts. Motion made to approve the GSR report and was accepted unanimously.

Secretary Report: Deb reports that the Minutes from the March Business meeting are posted on the website. Motion made to approve the March Minutes and was accepted unanimously.

Treasurer Report: Presented by Liz. See attached for detailed treasurer’s report. End of Quarter 1 balance is $200.00.  Treasurer’s Report was accepted unanimously.

Host Chair Report: John D reports everything is running smoothly. Chelsea has volunteered to host the Saturday noon meeting.  The new Wednesday and Saturday Noon Meetings have been running smoothly and have a nice small group appeal.  Motion made to approve the Host Chair report and was accepted unanimously.

Coins & Books Chair Report:  Terri reports that approximately 50 coins have been sent out in 2022, ranging from 1 month to 44 yrs. Five Big Books have been sent by request of new members.  Pam D came on to co-chair with Terri and has chosen to individually decorate the cards that are sent out with coins.  Motion made to approve the Coins & Books Chair report and was accepted unanimously.

Tonight’s Topic:

Chairperson’s Script: Do we want to keep the list of rotating topics in the Script? The group discussed the benefits of having the rotating topics listed as part of the script and agreed to keep it the way it is.
