Officer Not Present: Pam D.—Coins and Books, John D. Overall Cmte. Chair and Service Chair (John D. was present for a part of the mtg.)

Others Present: Al, Eliza, Uli, Annette

Dan A. noted he was pinch-hitting for John D as Chair and opened the meeting with the “we” version of the AA Serenity Prayer. Dan also stated that the Committee did not have an official quorum of members present to hold a meeting. The group moved to go ahead with the meeting despite not having a 4 person Quorum. (Dan is no longer technically a member of the committee.)

 Old Business: none

Secretary’s Report: Ann apologized for missing the August meeting and thanked John D for recording and passing his notes to her for the minutes. Jo made a motion to accept last month’s minutes (8-7-25) from the Happy Hour website. The motion was seconded by Dan and approved unanimously.

Coins and Books Report: Ann reported that Pam sent out 3 Coins/Cards for anniversaries in August.

Service Chair Report: In John D’s absence, Dan tabled this report until the October meeting. Dan also noted that the daily meeting chairs for October were all set up thanks to John D.

Treasurer’s Report: Jo reported that the group’s 7th Tradition contributions in July totaled $328.00 with $1,393.02 donated Y-T-D.

The current balance for the JOL Happy Hour Meeting is $572.97 (not counting the reserve of $400).  $972.97 was deposited into the Citizen’s Bank account. Total expenses reported for August were 236.14: $200 donated to the GSO and $36.14 for the group’s Zoom monthly subscription. Jo stated that the $200 check sent to the GSO had already cleared. Ann Z. made a motion to approve the Treasurers report, it was seconded by Dan A. and passed unanimously.

GSR Report: Herb reminded the group that we can buy Big Books at cost from District 20 whenever we need more.  District 20 is purchasing the books in bulk at wholesale prices and offering then to groups at that price.

Herb also reported that The District 11 meeting on the 3rd Thursday of every month is now experimenting with offering dinner to attendees. It is hoped that this new change will attract new comers and existing GSRs to attend the meetings. He noted that this latest meeting was very well attended.

As Herb’s term as GSR has ended, Ann Z. volunteered to become the new GSR. A vote for approval was deferred until the next meeting, so that other nominations or volunteers from the groups could also be considered.

JOL Web Site Report: Herb reported that there have been no changes in the Web site and noted that he is always willing to welcome any new suggestions. Herb mentioned that he would talk to John D. about a possible agenda to focus on the Group’s web site.

New Business: None

Chairman’s comments/Adjournment: Dan A. made a motion to approve any reports not individually approved. The motion was unanimously approved. Dan A. then made a motion to adjourn, it was seconded and the meeting was adjourned.
